Baptism
Baptism is a Sacrament which cleanses us from original sin, makes us Christians, children of God, and members of the Church.
Baptism is given by pouring water on the head of the child (or adult), saying at the same time these words: 'I baptise you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit'.
Baptism is necessary for salvation because Christ has said: 'Unless a man is born again through water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God'. (John 3:5)

Baptisms
If you would like your child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism,
please take a Baptism Application Form from the back of the church
and return the completed form to the Presbytery.
Baptisms normally take place on Saturdays after Holy Mass.
Please note that the date of your child’s Baptism must be arranged with the priest, with at least two months’ notice.
